Nora B.C. Boerner (she/hers), Rector Mother Nora has served Trinity for many years, but began a new call as Trinity’s Rector in August 2025. She holds a B.A. from St. Olaf College, and an M.Div. from Church Divinity School of the Pacific. She serves in many capacities for the Episcopal Diocese of Iowa including, Secretary of Convention, as a member of the Worship Commission, a member of the Disciplinary Board, a member of the Beloved Community Initiative Board, and on the Safe Church, Safe Communities Taskforce. She also is a member of Palestinian Anglicans & Clergy Allies, and supports many other peace and justice centered organizations. He holds a Master of Arts in Music from the University of Iowa, a Bachelor of Music from Furman University, and a certificate in Diaconal Studies from the Bishop Kemper School for Ministry. In addition to serving as a Deacon at Trinity, Deacon Kevin is the Director of Music Ministries at Christ the King Lutheran Church and an interfaith chaplain at University of Iowa Health Care. Apart from his ministry and music vocations, Deacon Kevin works in retail logistics as a fleet and operations manager. He is a proud dog dad to Bella. He was ordained a deacon in 2015 after retiring from the College of Education at the University of Iowa where he was a clinical professor of educational leadership. His career in education included high school teaching, serving as a principal, superintendent and leadership in state educational organizations, as well as his time at the University of Iowa.
